Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament leaders visit St. Joseph School
Superior General Fr. Philip Benzy Romician and General Consultor Fr. Roel Dela Cruz tour campus, praise loving, faith-filled atmosphere
Hilo, Hawaii, September 8, 2025 — St. Joseph School welcomed Fr. Philip Benzy Romician, Superior General, and Fr. Roel Dela Cruz, General Consultor, of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament for a special campus tour.
Escorted by Kumu Maile Kipapa and facilitated by student leaders Raylee Mateo, 2025-26 Student Council Executive President, and Michaela Costales, 2025-26 Student Campus Minister, the visiting clergy met students and teachers, stopped in classrooms, and saw key areas of campus life.
Fr. Romician and Fr. Dela Cruz shared this reflection on their visit: “We have visited other Catholic schools, but the Holy Spirit is truly evident here. We can immediately see that the atmosphere is loving and an excellent place for students to learn.”
St. Joseph School is grateful for the visit and the encouragement offered to our students, faculty, and staff.
