Track & Field Update: Strong Performances at Kealakehe Waveriders Stadium

March 9, 2026

Our athletes delivered a strong showing this past Saturday at the track and field meet held at Kealakehe Waveriders Stadium. Competing against tough competition, several team members earned top finishes and valuable experience as the season continues.

Leading the way was Michaela Costales, who captured 2nd place in the Girls 300m Hurdles and added another impressive finish with 4th place in the Girls 100m Hurdles. Her performances highlighted both speed and technical skill over the hurdles.

Nico Braden also had an outstanding day on the track, finishing 4th place in the Boys 1500m and 5th place in the Boys 800m, demonstrating strong endurance and race strategy in both distance events.

In the field events, Jaselle Kamaka-Mauhili placed 5th in the Girls Shot Put and 8th in the Girls Discus Throw, contributing valuable points for the team with solid throws. Connor Faletoi added another field event result with a 6th place finish in the Boys Discus Throw.

Distance runner Samuel Goodenow competed in both the Boys 800m and Boys 1500m, finishing 15th in each event while continuing to gain important racing experience.

Congratulations to all of our athletes for their hard work and dedication. Every meet is an opportunity to grow, compete, and represent our team with pride.

The team will be back in action this Saturday, March 14, at Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi Campus. We look forward to another exciting day of competition as our athletes continue to build momentum this season.
